A strong statement has resulted in a strong aesthetic form, encapsulating a comfortable family home and dynamic gathering space to provide seclusion in a bustling city fringe suburb. This Villa explores the idea of a contemporary house form defined by its elevation. The design optimizes the long, narrow site; addressing the aspect rather than the street. The High Street Apartments is Aantrik Architects’ first high-rise multi-residential project. The building is located in the heart of Bangalore city and is a contemporary interpretation of the traditional terrace house. The building is composed of one towers, each containing a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments. The design of the building is focused on maximizing natural light and ventilation, with the use of large windows and balconies. The apartments are designed to be energy efficient, with the use of double glazing, solar panels and rainwater harvesting. The building also features a communal garden, a gym and a rooftop terrace. The High Street Apartments is an example of how modern architecture can be used to create a vibrant and sustainable urban environment. The materials used throughout the apartments are carefully selected to ensure that they are both durable and aesthetically pleasing. Natural materials such as wood, stone, and tile are used to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The colors are muted and neutral, allowing for a sense of calm and relaxation. The furniture is modern and comfortable, with plenty of seating and storage options. The lighting is designed to be both functional and decorative, with a mix of overhead and task lighting.
